Who Can Apply?

The Student Council is open to all BMCC students - both on-campus and 100% online learners! You do not need to live near Bay Mills to participate. To be eligible, you must be a "student in good standing," meaning:

✅ Making satisfactory progress toward your degree
✅ Maintaining at least 70% attendance in all registered classes
✅ No outstanding financial obligations to the college
✅ No misconduct issues (as defined in the Student Handbook)
✅ If running for Student Council, you must be enrolled in at least 8 college credits

Student Council Positions Available

The Student Council includes:

  • President – Leads the council and represents students on the BMCC Board of Regents

  • Vice President – Supports the president and steps in when needed

  • Secretary – Handles meeting minutes and communications

  • Treasurer – Manages budgets and funding for student activities

  • Sergeant-at-Arms – Ensures order during meetings and events

How to Apply

The nomination period is open from September 2–12, 2025, with elections taking place on September 15, 2025. To apply:

  1. Fill out the nomination form.

  2. Submit your form to the Student Success Center or email it to [email protected].
