TRiO SSS

Bay Mills Community College

May 2008

It is with sadness and relief that another school year is coming to a close. With sadness we acknowledge that we will not see some of you again as you graduate and/or transfer to a University. We hope that you will stay in touch whether it be by e-mail, phone or stopping by if you're in the area. Remember that we are always here for you. With relief we realize that finals are almost done and the stress that comes at the end of the year is at its peak and beginning to lessen as we all ger through this once again.

If you are transferring to another college/university please let Deb know you're transferring and where you're transferring to. Her e-mail is listed below. We not only want to know but we need to know as we have to input it itno our data base. Believe it or not we have to track you guys and each student that gradutates, transfers or does both is counted as a "success" for us. If we can be of any help in the process please let us know.

We hope that you enjoy your summer and are able to relax. TRiO staff will be on their "summer schedule," which means we won't be here every day. However, you can reach each of us through our e-mail and voicemail. We will get back to you when we are in. Please call to ensure someone is here before you use your time and gas to come out to meet with one of us.

Please send positive vibes that the grant writing process that Steve Yanni and Deb LeBlanc are embarking on the summer will be fruitful. They will be working on the re-write of our TRiO SSS grant and we are very hopeful that we will be refunded and are granted a budget increase.

Early Registration

Early Registration for the Fall 2008 Semester started April 7th and is continuing until May 2nd. Please see your Academic Advisor A.S.A.P to schedule your classes. You may also see your TRiO Advisor to see what classes you should be taking before actually scheduling them with your Academic Advisor. Many classes were closed last semester because not enough students were signed up for them. To ensure you get the classes you need for next semester, please don’t hesitate to take advantage of BMCC’s early registration going on now.
