Campus Visit – Northern Michigan University

On February 2, 2007, Kelly Bedell and TR iO students, Dennis Hanskett, Larry Jacques, Jason Klein, Laura Maddox, Patrick Malloy, Robin Morley and Matthew St. Louis had the opportunity to visit Northern Michigan University; they were able to meet with TR iO staff as well as Admissions. The group attended a NMU and LSSU Hockey game.

Volunteers Visit Tendercare Nursing Home

On Sunday, February 4 thTR iO students spent time with the elderly at Tendercare Nursing Home.

Campus Visit LSSU

On February 23, 2007 students will have an opportunity to visit the LSSU campus. Look for the sign up sheet in the TR iO lab.

Tentative schedule includes a campus tour, as well as visiting the Native American Center, Campus Shoppe, a Planetarium Presentation, Nursing, WLSO Campus Radio, and a Laker Hockey Game. Lunch and Dinner will be provided.

Budget Workshop

Wednesday March 21, 2007 Soo Co-op Credit Union will be holding a Budgeting Workshop from 1 to 2 P.M. Lunch will be provided. See details in the TR iO lab.

Sock Hop

• Many different opportunities see the flyer in the TR iO lab for details.
• Friday, February 12 th 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. or 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. or 9 P.M. to 11 P.M.

Bay Mills Community Blood Drive

• Volunteer positions include registration, unit aide/escort, canteen/refreshment. Help unload equipment or reload equipment.
• Thursday, March 1 st 11 A.M to 4:45 P.M.

Don’t forget to schedule an appointment with your TR iO advisor for February, 2007. If your GPA is 2.7 or lower you will need to make arrangements for professional tutoring through TR iO.
