Cheboygan Opera House Trip:
Liz Landreville and Brie Blaauw took several TRiO students to a performance of William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" at the Opera House in Cheboygan on April 22nd. Cheryl Baragwanath, Laura Madox, Rhiannon Couch, Jacol Casey, Vicki Beaudoin and Chuck Lindberg and his wife Mary attended. Everyone had a great time.

TRiO 2006 Spring Retreat and Recognition Ceremony a Success :
The Spring Retreat and Recognition Ceremony held April 26, 2006 at Bay Mills Resort was a sensation. Troy and Karen Stende, keynote motivational speakers, had TRiO students participate in the motivational activities by getting to know each other. They also encouraged everyone to let the people who have made a difference in their lives know just how important they are. Some of the other speakers included Mickey Parish, Kelsey Bellville and Mike Brown. Pictures at bottom of Newsletter.

Sincere Apology:
The TRiO staff sincerely apologizes to James Edward for not recognizing him at the Spring Retreat for volunteering more than 10 hours. Good Job, Jim!

TRiO Equipment Returned:
All TRiO equipment (laptops, recorders, vaults, and calculators) should have been returned by April 27, 2006. Any equipment returned later than the above date maybe subject to late fees of $10.00 per a day.

Fall 2006 Registration:
Registration for next fall started on April 10, 2006. Please be sure to register as soon as possible.

Summer Hours:
TRiO Staff will be going to summer hours beginning May 29. You may still reach them by leaving a voicemail or sending them an email. Deb should be in every Tuesday and Wednesday if you should have any questions or need to check equipment. BMCC's phone number is 1-906-248-3354
