Reminder:
Prior to any student checking out equipment, being selected to go on a trip or receive grant aid their “active” criteria and class attendance will be checked in the data base and with their instructors.
TRIO Trips Planned for WI05:
The following is a list of trips planned for the winter semester:
February 16th -19th:
MI-MAEOPP TRIO Student Leadership Summit in Kalamazoo, MI. Ralph Miles, Dennis
Yake, Michael Brown, Marie Tadgerson, Cassie Ellis, Barb Wilkins, Rob Eskew,
Norma Bennet, Angie Peltier, and Deb LeBlanc will be attending.
March 9th:
TRIO Transfer trip to Lake Superior State University. Students will tour campus
and meet with various departments. Lunch will be provided on campus. Watch
for the sign up sheet in the TRIO Computer Lab.
March 24th-28th:
Trip to Washington, DC. A list of the students selected to go should be posted
in the TRIO Computer Lab by the end of next week.
April 16th:
Nikki Dowd will be taking a group of students to see “Seven Brides for
Seven Brothers” at the Opera House in Cheboygan. Dinner will be included.
The sign up sheet will be in the TRIO Computer Lab.
TRIO Staff attending conferences in February:
Nikki Dowd, TRIO Advisor, will be gone from 2/13 to 2/17.
Deb LeBlanc will be gone from 2/23 to 2/27.
There will be no checking out of laptops, calculators, vaults, or recorders from 2/16 to 2/18 or from 2/23 to 2/25. Please check them out prior to this time.
Prize give-away:
The first person to find the word “vault/s” anywhere else in this
newsletter is entitled to receive a free one. Please come and see Deb if you
find it.
