NUTRITION CONSULTANTS
Registered Dietitians (RD) are nutrition experts. Many IHS and Tribal Health Programs have Registered Dietitians on staff. Registered Dietitians can help you with nutritional assessments, nutrition referrals, menu development, menu evaluation, and nutrition education for preschoolers, parents, and staff. Contact the local IHS or Tribal Health Clinic to contact the Registered Dietitian that serves your tribe. Your state's branch of the American Dietic Association will also be able to provide a name of Registered Dietitians in your state. Master level Registered Dietitians with experience in working with preschoolers and community nutrition may be the most helpful to your program.
